A quick note to advise you of developments in our firm since its foundation in May, 2003.
Señora Francyne J. Pereira joined the firm as a legal assistant in January, 2004. Ms. Pereira is an attorney licensed to practice law in the Republic of Venezuela, having graduated in October, 1988 from one of Venezuela’s most highly ranked law schools, Andrés Bello Catholic University. Ms. Pereira graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis with her L.L.M. (Master of Laws) in May, 2002. She has worked at the Immigration Project of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, and is a Member of the Venezuelan Lawyers Association, of the National Bureau of Lawyers (Inpreabogado), and a Founding Member of the Venezuelan Society of Missouri.
On May 8, 2004, at its Annual World Meeting held in Quito, Ecuador, the prestigious International Law Firms, a cooperating, international organization comprised of highly regarded law firms, invited The Hein Law Firm to become a member representing the United States. International Law Firms currently has affiliated firms in more than 70 cities and 40 countries throughout the world.
Also, in April, 2003, the firm affiliated with a well-known firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina, being the Estudio Jurídico Traboulsi & Asociados. Estudio Jurídico Traboulsi & Asociados was founded in the early 1960s by Eduardo Traboulsi, Sr., attorney, real estate developer and former Argentine Member of Congress representing Buenos Aires. Forty years later, Dr. Traboulsi’s three sons, Eduardo, Jr., Carlos and Daniel, continue the tradition started by their father, having represented individual and corporate clients in more than 5,000 real estate transactions. They have also continued the family tradition of conscientious dedication to active participation in the Argentine democracy, most recently in the elections of 2003 when Eduardo, Jr. was a candidate for Mayor of Buenos Aires, and Carlos was a candidate for Congress. Roberto Cacheiro Frías is another attorney with the Traboulsi firm. Dr. Cacheiro Frías is a professor of International Law at the University of Buenos Aires School of Law as well as at the Open Interamerican University School of Law. He was likewise a candidate for Congress in 2003. Mr. Hein also accepted an invitation in April, 2003 to the University of Buenos Aires School of Law and also lectured in Dr. Cacheiro Frías’ International Politics class at the Open Interamerican University in Buenos Aires.
Attorney Hein opened his own Law Office on May 16, 2003. Mr. Hein earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1994. He also received his undergraduate degree in History, cum laude, from Saint Louis University in 1991. Mr. Hein was born and raised in St. Louis, and graduated from the St. Louis Priory High School. While in law school, Mr. Hein studied in the Centro de Estudios Universitarios at the Colegio de San Pablo, and served as a law clerk to one of the leading law firms in Europe, J. & B. Cremades & Associates, both in Madrid, Spain. He is a member of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the Eighth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Missouri and the United States Supreme Court.
